Meet the Team

Behind Britt's Corner Tack there is an awesome team! There are a few of us with diverse horse backgrounds- we all have one thing in common- loving tack and horses!

Mary

You'll find Mary in the store a few days a week- so eager to help and full of wisdom!

Mary first fell in love with horses as a young teen.  She enjoyed casual riding and basic lessons until her late teens before conventional life changes took over.  Between raising four kids and working, it wasn't until the nest started emptying that a friend invited her out to ride her horse, that the familiar passion was reignited.  Fast forward to today, she is enjoying her partnership with her fourth horse.  "My journey with horses has been a very deep, mystical experience that has taught me so much about myself; there is so much truth, healing, courage and wisdom that comes from the privilege of interacting with these majestic beings we call equines."

Lynn

When Lynn is in the store you will know because it's so clean and tidy, always welcomes a visit!

Born and raised on a farm in England, then moved to a farm in Canada, 20 something years ago.  Where amongst other things, we grow haylage for horses.  I started out as a Pony Club Mum and then moved up to having my own horse.  It wasn't until I bought a three year old that I realized I needed to take lessons to become a rider, and not just a passenger.  Here we are 5 years later with the fun loving Fuego.  We go trail riding, camping and have just started dabbling in Western Equitation.  Everyday is certainly different with Fuego, never a dull moment.  We laugh, we cry, we live and we love Fuego.

Charlotte

Charlotte is always up for great conversation making sure all the new saddles coming in are comfy!

Charlotte is a lifelong horseperson who grew up exploring many different disciplines, from hunters to dressage, to driving Welsh ponies and Standardbred racehorses.  Her first Quarter Horse set her on a course she hasn't looked back from though! She currently owns a retired reining mare and a young gelding she recently imported from Texas.  She is passionate about working with young horses, and loves to help develop their confidence and nurture their desire to learn and try.  When not in the barn or in the store, Charlotte works as a flight attendant and loves to travel, and is an avid concert- goer!

Linda

Linda keeps Britt on track with scheduling appointments and behind the scenes work!

Linda was born in Stockholm, Sweden with a huge passion for all animals, big and small. A pony named Billy stole her heart as a child and another crazy horse girl was born. Linda later moved abroad, to England in 2001 and to Canada in 2007. In 2017, after 20 years of working in Hospitality and Retail Management, she relocated to Northern Ontario with her fiancé, Mike, and they now enjoy country living with their dog, Sophie and their 3 horses; Sally, Merlin and baby Ayla. Linda rode English as a teenager but later transitioned to Western riding. She loves a good trail ride and is looking forward to bringing Merlin along in Working Equitation and Western Dressage. Ayla is the cutest little fire cracker and Linda is hoping for a career in Reining for this girl when she gets older.

Linda uses her experience in customer service, business management and horse ownership to manage Britts crazy saddle fitting schedule as well as other administrative duties such as help with our website, invoices, newsletter, hotel bookings and more.

Britt

Britt is the chaos, saddle fitter and the founder of Britt's Corner Tack.

Britt grew up riding hunter jumpers and dressage.  A move to Alberta for school ended up as a nine year stay and a switch to western riding.  Walking into a local tack store for a fly sheet and walking out with a job led her to a bunch of knowledge and the passion she didn't know she was looking for.  Moving home to Ontario and jumping back into the agriculture industry didn't last long as she figured out how to make her passion for saddle fitting and tack a reality here.  In her spare time she continues to learn, enjoys her retired gelding Jack, her pony Petey as well as fishing.
